Overview

Downtown from Canggu in popular Umalas lies this modern French restaurant that perfectly fuses the tropical climes of Bali with the beauty of Europe, My Cocotte is anything you want it to be.
It may emulate many tropes of a European bistro, but My Cocotte does not forget its Indonesian roots. Rustic furnishings sit alongside wicker cacti, ornate Asian umbrellas form the backdrop for slick booths and, in true Balinese style, the restaurant effortlessly glides from indoor to alfresco dining.
The menu, however, is decidedly French. Duck plays a big (and well earned) role with the duck pate, duck rillettes, duck confit and duck magret. Seafood is also given its rightful place with the delicate fish quenelles. The homemade pasta is out to impress with the bolognese, arrabbiata and grilled prawn specialities.
And, where would France be without the crepe? Have yours flipped and folded with anything from ratatouille to ham and cheese inside. Finally, polish it off with an apple tart, a sweet crepe (if you're a true crepe addict) and a stellar bottle of French wine. Bon appetit mon ami!
If that isn't enough to seduce you, don't miss the Pétanque pitch.
